Tashneem Ali Chaudhury is a journalist based in Delhi, India. She has been writing on lifestyle topics for the last 25 years.

Ex-Hindustan Times newspaper staffer and now an Independent writer, blogger and media strategist.

She writes mainly on restaurants, people, food, drink, travel, fashion, beauty & destinations, etc.,

However, her interests are varied, so she enjoys writing on cinema, webseries, books, trends, fitness, people, celebrities, parenting, holistic health, social issues, mental health, relationships, original poetry, fiction, quotes, quirks, thoughts, the digital age and everything else under the sun, too.

She has worked with leading media houses in the features department like the Hindustan Times Sunday magazine HT BRUNCH where she wrote articles on all the above mentioned topics and was also initially attached to this newspaper’s city supplement HT CITY

She worked there as a reporter interviewing famous, eminent personalities, was on the food beat, the glamour beat and the Page 3 beat. She also worked on a film supplement called HT Premiere. This was in addition to training people at the Mumbai HT lifestyle supplement HT Style.

She worked on two books, the HT City Food Guide and the HT City Salon guide, while being a staffer there.

She comes with rich experience in the field of ideating, content generating, reporting and writing on all lifestyle forums, for the past two decades.

At present, she is an independent journalist and media strategist, working on articles and content projects for all major newspapers, magazines and websites in India. She also covers events/live reporting.

Among those who have published her work are the Times of India newspaper, the Mumbai Mirror, TOI Crest, HT MINT, SpiceRoute magazine, New Indian Express newspaper, Femina magazine, Prevention, Men’s Health, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping, websites like Shaadi.com, Livingfoodz.com, the EMM group, Media Transasia–Asia Spa, Millionaire Asia, Child, Discover India, Doc & Doc of Crossword Publications, US edition of travel portal travelmole.com.

She has also written a regular parenting column for the Chandigarh edition of the Daily Post newspaper.

Her first collection of short stories/flash fiction and yet another of Haiku poetry, were both published on Juggernaut books, last year. 

She is also working on her second poetry collection and two novels, at present.

Currently, she is helping to edit renowned journalist Vir Sanghvi’s new book, soon to be out.

  2. Hi, great to meet you and many thanks for stopping by my Travel and Photography blog.

    I haven’t been to Delhi since I solo-backpacked around the world for 12 months, back in 1985.

    We have a lot in common as my profession is also a writer, but a Technical Writer typically, in IT. Found it difficult to make the transition to creative writing for my blog, so any tips would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
